Helping individuals break through anxiety, depression, and life's toughest challenges — one conversation at a time. A compassionate, nonjudgmental space with Sandi Johnson, LCSW-R, CASAC.
My work tends to gather around a handful of themes. Every course of therapy is tailored — but these are the places people most often arrive from.
Credentialed as a CASAC (NY) and MCAP / SAP (FL). Supportive, evidence-informed care for substance use and the life that surrounds it.
Identity, relationships, body image, and the quieter work of re-authoring a life. Individual sessions and in-person women's groups.
Advanced practitioner of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — effective for PTSD, panic attacks, and many emotional conditions.
Individual, couples, and family counseling. Addressing codependency, communication breakdowns, and long-stuck patterns.
Practical tools to reframe, self-soothe, and move through the weight of chronic worry or low mood.
When the work, caretaking, or pace of life has become unsustainable — space to set it down and think clearly.
Research has shown, again and again, that no matter what method is used, the connection between you and your therapist is the essential factor in feeling better about yourself and your life.
In our sessions we'll work to solve current problems and build more positive thinking and behavior. I'll help you "re-frame" your reactions and give you tools to cope with life's obstacles. I'm versed in a number of treatment modalities, and I'll tailor the most effective ones for you.
As a seasoned clinician, I excel at identifying the problems, conflicts, and roadblocks many clients experience. Most people know what they want — the hard part is navigating from point A to point B.
A number of in-person empowerment groups focused on particular themes — a safe space for sharing ideas, hopes, and skills for navigating challenges.
Very often, the life we live can feel like a story that's been written for us — one with limited input or control. Join other aspiring women in the empowering stance of authoring their own life, with new plot lines and possibilities.
Reducing the power of emotion to trigger urges is essential to healthy habits. Members explore stomach signals vs. emotional triggers, mindful vs. mindless eating, and learn to express uncomfortable feelings and self-soothe without food.
"The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind." William James
